About Us

Denise Leslie, publisher of Southwest Arts Programs (SWARTS) began publishing the program for the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College in November of 2009.  SWARTS was created and designed to support the arts by providing exclusive, professionally design playbills to its Partner Arts Organizations. Programs are provided to organizations at no cost and solely dependent upon advertising dollars.  One Partner Organization reported the SWARTS saves their organization more than $10,000 annually.

Today, Southwest Arts Programs publishes performing arts playbills for arts organizations throughout southwest Colorado and northern New Mexico. We represent eight Partner Arts Organizations including the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College, Durango Arts Center, Henry Strater Theatre, Durango Choral Society and 3rd Avenue Arts in Durango, Colorado and the San Juan Symphony, both in Durango and in Farmington, New Mexico.  The Farmington Civic Center Foundation for the Performing Arts and Sandstone Productions are the newest partners served in Farmington, New Mexico.

We publish more than 50,000 programs and reach over 80,000 arts patrons at 200+ performances each year.  Southwest Arts Programs are placed directly in the hands of arts patrons and feature articles, program notes, biographies and information about our Partners.  Patrons have up to 3 hours to peruse the program throughout the event and take notice to support advertisers who support the arts. The advertiser’s ONE ad display appears in all programs.  We print 52,000 programs annually.

In 2011, we began to publish programs and tour guides for festivals and events.  For more information, please contact us directly at 970-403-1590.

Southwest Arts Programs is a publication of Shared Vision Publishing.

I wanted an opportunity to tell you how Southwest Arts Programs work. So here’s a Q & A to help:

WHAT IS SOUTHWEST ARTS PROGRAMS AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Southwest Arts Programs sells advertisements and publishes customized, professional quality, four-color programs for major arts organizations, festivals and events throughout the Four Corners region.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO THE PARTNER ORGANIZATION?
•Decrease Labor and Print Cost – Eliminates the need for organization advertising sales to cover program costs. Printing and delivery fees for programs are covered by Southwest Arts Programs
•Cross Marketing Opportunities – A full page advertisement will be published for each partner organization in each print edition of Southwest Arts Programs.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO THE ADVERTISER?
•One Stop Shop – Businesses and organizations can reach more than 80,000 potential customers annually by placing one advertisement in Southwest Arts Programs.
•Deliver Directly to Audience – Programs are distributed directly in the hands of each audience member with an average time of two hours to peruse through the pages and advertisements during an event.

As we grow and develop a strong partnership base, we will create more opportunities to collaborate and support the arts throughout the region.

Join us today as we would be honored to have you as a new Partner Arts Organization!
